Vendor Feature: Litu Weddings
We are really excited about this blog post because we are featuring one of our favorite vendors: Litu Weddings! We got in contact with Kimmie had her answer a few questions about weddings and working with us!
Tell us about yourself and where you’re based.
I have been in the wedding industry for 23 years and began our business at the start of e-commerce with my late husband. Our plan was to help the home market for those clients who struggled to find the free time to organise their wedding when they were also trying to hold down a full time job. What we didn’t anticipate was we would capture the overseas market for destinations weddings inbound to Scotland, which took off almost immediately. Had e-commerce not been around at the time, our business would never have taken off, snail mail and long periods of waiting for communication doesn’t go hand in hand with successful wedding planning!
What is your favourite part about the planning process with a client?
I love the excitement of new challenges with clients, brides are so different today and all want a different slant to their friends weddings – so to create a day with them is always exciting – and then to see months of working together coming to fruition on the big day is thrilling.
Can you share a memory about working with Woohoo Band?
I have worked with Woohoo Band on several occasions at my clients weddings – I have always found them to be precise in organisation, timely, polite and entertain the evening perfectly.
Share one of your most memorable experiences as a planner.
I have so many – every wedding is memorable because every one is different. I have been so fortunate to meet so many lovely people in my life as a wedding planner, many of whom I am still in touch with today. It’s a very different business to most as i cross that business invisible line, I have to get into their private lives which most other businesses don’t. I have married people from all walks of life from the girl down the road to European royalty, sportsmen, senators, medics from the whitehouse, to my own relatives and many more – varied, challenging and humbled to be asked to be a part of someone’s big day, but mostly my job is to make it the best fun day in their lives as the memories live on forever not only for the couple but their families and friends so its a huge responsibility.
What is your business mantra?
LITU Leave it to us – says it all – let us run beside you and do the legwork while you make the decisions.
